Commissions — A Painting Made for You
Each year, I accept a limited number of private and corporate commissions. A commission is an original work conceived specifically for you — your species, your format, your space.
I paint exclusively wild fauna from any geographic origin — birds, mammals, and coastal wildlife from North America, Europe, Africa, or elsewhere. No domestic animals. No human subjects.
How It Works
1. Your Request Contact me by email describing your project: the species you have in mind, the approximate format, and the context — private residence, office, institution. The more specific your description, the better I can assess the project and submit a proposal.
2. The Proposal I will respond with a project assessment, a price, and a timeline. If you agree to proceed, we sign an agreement and a non-refundable 50% deposit is required to confirm your commission and reserve your place in my schedule.
3. Sketch and Composition Approval Before painting the final work, I submit a sketch with the proposed composition. You can comment and request adjustments at this stage. Once the composition is approved, work on the final painting begins.
4. The Painting I work from my own field archives and observations accumulated over more than 30 years. Every commission is a unique, original composition — not a photographic copy, but a work grounded in rigorous naturalist knowledge.
5. Delivery The remaining 50% balance is due before shipment. The painting ships with a certificate of authenticity.

Minimum size: 8 × 10 inches Maximum size: 48 × 60 inches
Intermediate formats are determined based on the project requirements and the nature of the subject.
Lead Time
Please allow approximately 6 months from commission confirmation to delivery. This may vary depending on the complexity of the work and my current schedule.
Shipping, Packaging, and Customs
All shipping, packaging, insurance, and customs fees (where applicable) are the responsibility of the client. I work with specialized art packers to ensure the integrity of the work during transit.
